We had an amazing turn out at our latest Art Spark! RACC's Public Art program and Know Your City were on hand to share ways that art in our public spaces is enhancing our lives. We had over 70 guest in attendance as they shared stories, made new connections and learned what RACC services are available to artist and audiences throughout the region!
I know that we probably say wow a lot but this time it really fits. Wow! What a great Art Spark event in April 2015. We featured RACC's Work for Art. Work for Art is a workplace giving program that funds arts and culture and arts education programs throughout the region. Entering its tenth year in July, Work for Art has raised more than $6 million from employees and companies in Oregon and SW Washington. To help express the value of arts and culture, Work for Art brings artists –of all disciples – to a variety of companies and workplace giving events. Through this “Artists in the Workplace” program, artists share their creative talent, skills, and passion for arts and culture. Thanks to all that joined us at Art Spark to learn more about Work for Art and how they could get involved!” The community partner at the last Art Spark was Milagro Theatre Group. As the home to Teatro Milagro, their mission is to share the diversity of Latin America and advocate for global unity through theatre. For information on how your art organization can be a community partner at an upcoming Art Spark please contact Andre Middleton
