Art Spark is back from another evening of community and sharing resources! Calling Portland's creative community to join us at Produce Row on April 19th from 5:30-7:30. This month we will focus on building community and forming solidarity among artists in Portland. We have invited APANO (Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon), Pochas Radicales, Y.G.B Portland and Portland YouthBuilders to join connecting with all of you. Portland Youth Builders will lead us in live screen printing from their Community Art Class & expect art performances from Tazha Williams and Jenny Chu

None other than VNPRT (Vincent Magee) will be providing the music and the amazing Renée Lopez from Miss Lopez Media documenting the night. Artist & Craftsman Supply will be in the building to share artist opportunities and pass out art supply goody bags. Expect to move & learn about upcoming opportunities for supporting you as an artist and creative community member. We will have free drink tickets with happy hour until 7pm. We had a great time in St. Johns! RACC's Public Art Department and St. John's Main Street gave the community an evening of fun, and creativity in the St. John's community spirit. And Signal Station Pizza was a fantastic location host taking really good care of us with their yummy pizza, great beer and delish ice cream! Pictures and more details on the event are coming soon!

Thanks to everyone that has joined us at the past year's Art Sparks! Well we were not one to rest on our laurels so we got this year's Art Sparks off to a great start. Thanks to those that joined RACC Grants to learn about upcoming available grants and information for applying for both regional and national grants. Past grantees were present to share their perspective on the grant process and how winning a grant impacted their work! We were thrilled that Oregon Music News will also joined us as Oregon's all-genre, music magazine that covers music news and events in Portland and throughout the state at Solae's Lounge.
